Q:What kind of ailments are covered by this insurance? If I purchase insurance of 100,000 with 0 deductible, for my mother who is 50 in age, and if she gets a bone fracture or ligament/tendon tear or a cardiac arrest or any other cause of hospitalization, will that be covered in insurance starting from the date I pay? If it is a less severe but still concerning issue can we visit the doctor and be fully refunded? This is given that my mother does not have any pre-existing conditions. She is, however, a cancer survivor and has been absolutely fine and healthy and also no hospital visits apart from the routine check-ups, in the last 4 years.

A:
The plans we offer are similar to short term health insurance. These plans are primarily designed to cover someone for new illnesses, injuries or accidents that did not exist in the persons body before the start date, They will not cover general treatment for pre-existing conditions preventive care or routine maintenance. Something like cardiac arrest is usually almost always caused by an underlying pre-existing condition. that is why we recommend a plan with coverage for an Acute onset of a Pre-existing condition.
